Figurative Language - a type of language often used in writing to better make a point. The meaning of figurative language is often not what it seems. The types of figurative language which you will learn about on this website are: Simile, Metaphor, Onomatopoeia, Personification, Hyperbole, Alliteration, and Idiom. Each help make writing a little bit more interesting in their own way!
